Step 1: Warm-up (5分钟)
1. Greet the students and ask them to introduce themselves briefly.

Step 2: Introduce the topic (10分钟)
1. Show a picture of a red hat and say "Here is a red hat."
2. Ask the students to repeat the sentence after you.
3. Write the words "red" and "hat" on the blackboard and point to them, then ask the students to repeat the sentence again.
4. Review the key vocabulary and phrases with the students, such as "red," "hat," "color," "shape," "size," etc.

Step 3: Practice speaking (15分钟)
1. Divide the students into pairs and give each pair a red hat to hold.
2. Ask one student to describe their hat to their partner using the key vocabulary and phrases learned in the warm-up. The partner should listen carefully and respond with appropriate questions or comments.
3. Switch roles and have another pair of students perform the same task.
4. Encourage the students to use more descriptive words and expressions, such as "bright," "round," "big," "soft," etc.
5. Play a game where one student wears a hat and tries to guess what color it is by asking yes/no questions about the hat's features. For example, "Is it small?" or "Is it made of wool?"

Step 4: Production (10分钟)
1. Reinforce the key vocabulary and phrases by having the students act out a short dialogue between two friends discussing hats. One friend shows another a red hat and asks for her opinion, while the other friend describes the hat in detail using the key words learned in the lesson.
2. Ask the students to draw or paint a picture of their favorite hat using colored pencils or markers, and write a short paragraph (5-7 sentences) describing it using the key vocabulary and phrases learned in the lesson.
3. Display the pictures and paragraphs around the classroom for everyone to see and appreciate.

Step 5: Consolidation (5分钟)
1. Review the key vocabulary and phrases with the students one last time, asking them to pronounce them correctly and use them in sentences.
2. Ask some students to share their favorite hat stories with the class, encouraging others to listen and participate in discussions.
3. Assign homework: Have the students write a short paragraph (5-7 sentences) about their favorite hat, using the key vocabulary and phrases learned in the lesson. They can either draw a picture or just describe it verbally in English.
